2014: NGIS in Kaohsiung
NGIS has been promoted for years, the IT Month Round-up Exhibition and Promotion began in 2010, and it has been the fourth year now. The government has progressively converted text information into software and system applications to develop an open information and easy to assess system framework, hoping for the public to understand the content of NGIS and encourage the development of more application services to make life more convenient. To strengthen NGIS promotion to central and southern Taiwan, the exhibition this year is held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center during December 25-30, 2014 for the pubic to join the event.
Intelligent Homeland
This year the exhibition is planned under theme “Intelligent Homeland” to publicize the knowledge and concept of NGIS achievements from the public point of view and focus on the actual application of national geographic information in daily life. By combining with modern innovative technology tools, such as computers, smartphones, and cloud computing, we aim to show the public how to use NGIS to make life more convenient and easier.
Open Information ╳ Spatial Governance ╳ Value-added Application
The IT Month “NGIS Government Pavilion” will be launched in Kaohsiung. At the exhibition, the value-added application and achievement of NGIS will be presented in a multidimensional and interactive manner, including UAV flying experience, six-axis aircraft demonstration, virtual 3D model demonstration, interactive teaching, and stamp collection for prizes.
