2013: NGIS in Taichung & Kaohsiung
NGIS has been promoted for years, the IT Month Round-up Exhibition and Promotion began in 2010, and it has been the fourth year now. The government has progressively converted text information into software and system applications to develop open information and easy to assess system framework, hoping for the public to understand the content of NGIS and encourage the development of more application services to make life more convenient. To strengthen NGIS promotion to central and southern Taiwan, the exhibition this year is held at the Greater Taichung International Expo Center in Taichung during December 13-18, 2013 and at Kaisyuan World Trade Center in Kaohsiung during December 27, 2013-January 1, 2014 for the pubic to join the event.

Smart Life: Changing Taiwan with NGIS!
This year the exhibition is planned under theme “Sharing Over Cloud” to publicize the knowledge and concept of NGIS achievements from the public point of view and focus on the actual application of national geographic information in daily life. By combining with modern innovative technology tools, such as computers, smartphones, GPS systems, and cloud computing, we aim to show the public how to use NGIS to make life more convenient and easier.

Quality Environment ╳ Convenient Transport ╳ Daily Life Application
The 2013 IT Month “NGIS Government Pavilion” will be launched in Taichung and Kaohsiung. At the exhibitions, value-added applications and achievements of NGIS will be presented in a multidimensional and interactive manner, including UAV flying experience, 3D movie appreciation, animation, and stamp collection for prizes.
